Our workshops are the best. We pride ourselves on doing all of our workshops on the water. This workshop is done at Lake Almanor and it is more than just a workshop. It is a workshop, tour and a guided trip all in one. This workshop will have two guides and a total of six students. We split the class into two groups. The first group stays at the Gray’s Fly Fishing School (our cabin at Lake Almanor) and learns about their float tubes, rods, lines and rigging. The other group goes on a tour of the lake. We teach you the access areas, what to look for while fishing and how to fish it. Then we flipflop the group and do it all over. By the middle of the afternoon, rods will be rigged, tubes will be ready and you the student will know exactly what to do while fishing. Then we have a nice tri-tip dinner at the cabin and then we fishing until dark.
Workshop fee is $195 per guest for the one day workshop, limited to 6 anglers per Workshop.
Transportation, a lake front dinner, beverages, and snacks during the day. Handouts for the Workshop will include maps, access areas, flies, special setups, equipment recommended and other special features that pertain to the fisheries. A complete list of all equipment needed is attached to the confirmation package.
Guests must possess a valid California fishing license and need to bring their own equipment and wading gear (equipment can be rented, if needed).
