LGCís Switch & Spey Rod School is the premier two-handed rod school conducted in the Northern California Valley. The Switch & Spey Rod School is a two day school concentrating strictly on two-handed rod tactics.
The students will learn advanced two handed rod techniques such as dead drift indicators, snap-tee, single and double spey. The students will also learn how to perform control swings. We will use both SAGE switch and short spey rods during the school.
Locating fish lies and hold and how to position yourself with the right set up to conduct the proper presentation is key in this school. Proper rigging, fly selection and setups will be discussed and used.
The Switch & Spey Rod School will give the students the confidence, skills and knowledge to tackle Steelhead, Trout and Salmon anywhere in Northern California. The two day school also gives the studentsí crucial one on one time with the instructor. The course is designed for novice to intermediate two hand rod casters.
All schools are taught by one instructor per every two enrolled students...cost is $425 per student for the two day school.
Rods, reels, flies, leaders, and indicators are all inclusive however, wading gear is not.
Riverside lunches (hot or cold), beverages, and snacks are provided
Students may bring their own equipment if they wish.
Students must possess a valid California fishing license and a Steelhead Card.
